Vision Statement

“The core curriculum will provide meaningful experiences with art and literature, such as the opportunity to appreciate, perform, or create works of art, theatre, music, and literature. In doing so, students will be encouraged to exercise imagination and creativity across all disciplines in the pursuit of beauty."

The CAE will:

1. Foster artistic literacy and human empathy by exposing students to a wide variety of creative arts events on the Baylor campus and with Baylor-sponsored programs.

2. Allow for maturation and growth in a student’s appreciation of creative arts events through immersion over an extended period of time.

3. Develop a student’s understanding of the norms of interaction at creative arts events in order to encourage lifelong patronage of the arts
